This course is designed to introduce DFLL students to university-level English speaking. The oral training provided in this class is both technical and cultural. It will not only inform students’ technics in conducting English conversation which entails knowledge in designated grammar, vocabulary and discussion strategies, but it will also cultivate them to do so in a culturally appropriate manner. Students will have a chance to apply the skills they have learned through in-class activities, eight playouts, five unit exercises and corresponding self-evaluation reports and one final presentation. Students are expected to attend regularly, to learn with passion and curiosity, and to bring a cheerful heart to course assignments and class discussions.
